Being Right Isn’t as Fun as Being Wrong

I love being wrong, It is tonic to find out that I have things slightly or even badly wrong, whether it’s because of a bad mental model, poor data, biases, ignorance, or something else. And it happens all the time, which is refreshing.

I get much less pleasure from being right. More than a month ago I predicted the direction and dynamics of current events, and I’m drawing no satisfaction from seeing it play out as predicted. Literally zero.
